11 Days Nairobi Sightseeing - Cultural Safari - Wildlife Safari & Masai Mara

If you’re looking to embark on a once in a lifetime safari trip, this is the safari, the biggest thrills of your life starting with short tours around Nairobi to big names in kenyas national parks and game reserves. Amboseli, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, the hell's gate National park, loita hills and Masai Mara game reserve.

Day 1 : Nairobi Hotel - Elephant orphanage & Giraffe Center.
This is one and famous excurtions within Nairobi. David Sheldrick elephant orphanage is located in a secluded area of Nairobi National park. At this place, orphaned baby elephants and other animals are taken care of by a family of conservationist. The elephant orphanage is open for only one hour between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm. After the feeding program, the tour continue to the giraffe center to feed and play with the Rothschild giraffe. This is also a conservation center that breeds the endangered Rothschild giraffe.

Day 2 : Nairobi Hotel - Kiambethu Tea Farm in Limuru
Just a short drive from the heart of Nairobi, this 6 hour private tour takes you to Kiambethu Farm at Limuru, which provides a tranquil insight into life on a settler farm in Kenya. Situated at 7,200 ft, Kiambethu was bought and farmed by AB McDonell in 1910. He was the first person to grow, make and sell tea commercially in Kenya - now one of Kenya’s biggest exports, which now you will have a chance to taste. Five generations have lived on the farm and it is currently run by his granddaughter Fiona Vernon. The tour returns to Nairobi in the afternoon to be dropped off in your hotel.

Day 3 : Nairobi Hotel - Amboseli National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning at 7:30am and drive via Namanga on the Kenya and Tanzania border to arrive for lunch at the camp or lodge, After lunch leave the camp / lodge for full afternoon game driving in Amboseli National park seeing game wildlife with mount kilimanjaro at the backdrop until late evening to return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 : Amboseli National Park
Full day of game viewing in Amboseli National park. Amboseli National park is located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. The snows of the mountain form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most popular spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and host of plains game, creating Kenya's most sought after photographer's paradise. Meals and overnight at the lodge / camp.

Day 5 : Amboseli National Park - Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast in your hotel leave Amboseli heading northwards towards Mount Kenya, feel the cool temperature of the region and arrive at Sweet waters tented camp or similar (Ol Pejeta conservancy) for lunch at the sweet waters tented camp. In this reserve, you will be able to see the chimpanzee, buffalos and lions. Afternoon game drive at the sanctuary known for the rehabilitation of the chimpanzees and home to the world’s three remaining northern white rhino. Dinner and overnight at the sweetwaters luxury tented camp or similar.

Day 6 : Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Lake Nakuru National park.
After breakfast at the lodge, departure starts in the morning at 8.30 am to Lake Nakuru National park. Situated just a stone's throw from Nakuru town, the attractive Lake Nakuru National Park surrounds the Lake of the same name, which is a haven for the pink lesser flamingo as well as hippos. Other species include various antelope, giraffe, zebra, lion, rhino and leopard (which can actually be spotted during daylight hours in the arms of the giant yellow acacia trees near the entrance). Enjoy the great view from the park's rocky escarpments and ridges. Accommodation and meals are at lake Nakuru lodge or a hotel.

Day 7 : Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha National Park
After breakfast, leave the hotel for a drive to Lake Naivasha National park, on arrival a visit to the Hell’s gate Park[one of the few parks where you can walk or cycle to see the wild animals]. Packed lunch will served in the park or at a hotel. There is a Geothermal power station and very beautiful scenery, dinner and overnight at the lodge or a hotel.

Day 8 : Lake Naivasha – Maji Moto Eco Camp (Loita Hills)
Have your breakfast and drive via Narok town, a masai town then to Maji Moto Eco Camp (Loita Hills) in the edge of Masai mara for lunch followed by meeting with the Masai people, traditional dances and campfire in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Maji Moto Eco camp.

Day 9 : Maji Moto Eco Camp - Masai Mara game reserve
Have your breakfast then leave the camp for Masai mara for a whole day game drive in the park where you will not only enjoy but also admire the great wildlife which inhibits this unique park, both the zebras and the wildebeests migrate from Serengeti in Tanzania to Kenya and vise versa, this migration takes place from July to October annually, as you admire the fantastic wildlife, have your picnic lunch just there at the mara river, several other animals are also present eg, lions, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, oryx, you name it. Be back to camp / lodge for both dinner and overnight .

Day 10 : Masai Mara game reserve
Early Morning game viewing in the Mara with an optional nature walk or a visit to a nearby Maasai village in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.

Day 11 : Masai mara game reserve - Nairobi.
Wake up for the early morning game drive to see the animals at their early morning sun bathing for this is the best time to do so, only if time permits. Be back to the camp for late breakfast followed by the departure to Nairobi, on your way back, stop periodically for breathtaking and photos for the remembrance, your lunch will be served en route where your arrival in Nairobi will be in the afternoon, end your journey in Nairobi airport or your hotel with the sweetest memories ever to share with others at home.
