3 Nights 4 Days Lake Nakuru National Park & Masai Mara Safari


This tour allows you to traverse on the floor of the Great Rift Valley as you head to Lake Nakuru National Park which is home to the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe and other animal species that include rhinos, buffalos, waterbucks, lions, impalas as well as many bird species including the flamingos. Later, you will proceed to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve which is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves and famous for its annual wildebeest migration. Safari Itinerary

Day 1 : Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
Start in the early morning at 8 am from your hotel in Nairobi for a drive southwards via the Rift valley view point where you will admire the escapement of the place, just a few meters ahead you will stop at the Little Italian church which was built by the Italians during the construction of the road, they were being attacked and even killed by the wild animals hence decided to build the church so that they could worship their Lord, reach Nakuru in time for lunch which will be taken at Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge followed by afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National park, the park is known to be the bird’s sanctuary, it is so called because the entire surface of the lake is covered by both the lesser and greater flamingoes, this park is also known for it’s big five excluding the Elephants, it is the only park in Kenya where you are assured of seeing both the white and the black rhinos, be back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 : Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
Have breakfast at your lodge then bid Nakuru goodbye as you drive to Masai Mara. You will be welcomed with a scrumptious lunch at the lodge upon arrival. Rest a bit then head into the park for an afternoon game drive. It is one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of wildebeests, zebras and attendant predators. Drive back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 : Masai Mara (Full Day)
This day you will be exploring the Masai Mara extensively. Packed lunch will be served picnic-style inside the park close to the Mara river. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions and abundant resident wildlife, and it's one of the few places where it's possible to see the Big Five during a morning's game drive. Many cheetahs are so used to vehicles that they seek shelter from the hot sun under them, and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Masai Mara to Nairobi.
After breakfast you can have an optional visit to the Masai village. Here you will learn about the pristine culture of the Masai tribe. Afterwards drive back to Nairobi and being dropped off at your city hotel/JKIA Airport depending on your flight timings.
