Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Start in the morning at 7:30 am for a drive to Lake Nakuru. Have lunch and some rest on arrival at the hotel. The afternoon gives you a chance for wildlife viewing inside the park.

Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos, but the flamingoes, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times there may be almost 2 million flamingoes in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore. In the evening wind up your safari and return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha
Today we drive to Lake Naivasha for a visit to Hell's Gate National Park. Here you can cycle among wildlife, hike the gorges, trek or enjoy a game drive. Have lunch at the lodge afterwards. After some rest in the afternoon you can have an optional boat ride to Crescent Island.

Crecent island Game Sanctuary, often called “Naivasha’s best-kept secret” is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya, a peninsula surrounded by water only accessible by boat from the East and Westside. The park has miles of walking trails and abundant wildlife that provides a 360-degree view of Mt Longonot to Hell’s Gate to the Mau Escarpment. Return to the camp or lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha to Masai mara National Reserve
Have breakfast then bid Naivasha goodbye as you drive to Masai Mara. You will be welcomed with a scrumptious lunch at the camp upon arrival. Rest a bit then head into the park for an afternoon game drive. Maasai Mara remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Savannah grassland. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wildlife than any other park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities. Return to the camp or lodge in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 4: Masai mara National Reserve (Full Day)
This day you will be exploring the Masai Mara extensively. Packed lunch will be served picnic-style inside the park close to the Mara river. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions and abundant resident wildlife, and it's one of the few places where it's possible to see the Big Five during a morning's game drive. Many cheetahs are so used to vehicles that they seek shelter from the hot sun under them, and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. Return to the camp or lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park
Today you will transfer from the Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park via the Isebania border crossing. In the afternoon after lunch you will game drive en-route to your tented camp or lodge. Large predators, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, are drawn to the Serengeti area by the abundance of prey that migrates throughout the park. This massive wilderness stretches across some 14,750 square kilometers, offering fantastic scenic views of the vast savanna. Dinner and overnight at your tented camp or lodge.

Day 6: Full-Day Serengeti National Park
You will spend this day on morning and afternoon game drives. Large predators, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, are drawn to the Serengeti area by the abundance of prey that migrates throughout the park. This massive wilderness stretches across some 14,750 square kilometers, offering fantastic scenic views of the vast savanna. As the sun sets drive back to the camp or lodge to have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
Head inside the park after breakfast for a final game drive as you leave to Ngorongoro (savor the last moments at Serengeti with good photos for your travel journal). On reaching Ngorongoro crater, progress into the crater for a safari drive. Popular animals which are mostly viewed are zebra and wildebeest though this is a great place to spot black rhinos in Tanzania as well as black-maned lions. There are numerous colorful flamingos on top of other varieties of water birds surrounding the soda lake on the crater floor (Lunch break at Ngoitoktok springs picnic site). Other game visible here are leopard, cheetah, warthog, hartebeest, buffalo, eland, hyena, elephant and many other sorts of animals. Dinner and overnight at the tented camp.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park
In the morning depart for Lake Manyara National Park, which hosts a great number of flamingos as well as other animals like hippos which dwell in the shallow part of the lake. Arrive in Lake Manyara to have early lunch, thereafter embark on a safari drive to sight the attractions among which is the unique tree climbing lions. The quirky character of these lions draw many tourists from around the globe to witness their uniqueness. Another unique animal is the shy dik dik which can be spotted on the slopes of the escarpment with a little search. In the evening return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Following breakfast, set back to Arusha where your safari ends with good memories to share back home with your friends and family.
